A tengeralattjáró eltűnése után egy hónappal kirúgták az argentin haditengerészet vezetőjét, Marcelo Srurt – írja a BBC.

Az argentin védelmi miniszter péntek éjjel jelentette be Marcelo Srur admirális menesztését.

A San Juan november 15-én tűnt el 44 fős legénységével az argentin partok közelében, azonban a nemzetközi keresés ellenére sem találták meg. A kutatást november 30-án hagyták abba, ekorr már nem volt esély arra, hogy életben maradt a legénység.

A 60 éves Srur admirálist Mauricio Macri elnök 2016 januárjában nevezte ki.
