Az FC Liverpool hetedik alkalommal nyerte el az angol labdarúgó FA-kupát, miután a cardiffi Millennium Stadionban tizenegyesekkel legyőzte a West Ham United együttesét. A sorozat 135 éves történetében másodszor dőlt el büntetőkkel a trófea sorsa. Tavaly az Arsenal győzte le 11-esekkel a Manchester Unitedet.
