He was born in 1924 and graduated in 1951 from the Faculty of Architecture of Budapest Technical University. At present, he is professor emeritus of the Institute of Urban Planning of Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Urban planning constitutes a specific field of research and activities. From the outset, his publications on the topic of the scientific procedures connected with settlement models have found international resonance. In 1965 he defended his PhD dissertation entitled: Measurability and prognostics, this did not receive immediate official recognition, this took almost a year after several votes. During this time, he focussed on the alternatives of prognoses and to the probability of events (phenomena, configurations) actually occurring instead of being 'formally' planned. In 1984 he defended his doctoral thesis entitled: Technology, architecture and urban planning. The content of this work was later published later in book form as: Az építészeten innen és túl - a "techné"-től az urbanisztikáig. He has been professor at several foreign universities in Europe, Asia and North America and has participated in international urban projects.
